'Madden 20' celebrations: How to do a team dance, showboat and more of the best moves
Celebrations have been a part of the Madden video game series for several years, but like the league itself, the game has adapted to new trends.
With the NFL now allowing team celebrations during games, EA Sports has added a team celebration function in "Madden NFL 20" for when you score a touchdown. There are several other options as well once you cross the goal line.
You can do a player specific celebration, perform a generic dance, spike the ball, or do a swag celebration. There's also an option, like in previous years, to celebrate before you cross the goal line, or "showboating."
We will explain how to do all of these celebrations, and provide some examples of what they might look like.

How to do a team celebration in 'Madden 20'
As you can see in the screenshot above, once you score a touchdown, a prompt will come up allowing you to celebrate. There is a white timer beneath it, providing a few seconds for you to make a decision on what celebration you want to do, if you want to do any at all.
Maybe you're more of a Larry Fitzgerald type and prefer your virtual player to simply hand the ball to the refs.
But if you're more of an Odell Beckham Jr. type, you have five options. All of these will be available via the right analog stick, whether on Playstationor Xbox.
- Team celebration: Move right stick up
- Player specific celebration: Move right stick down
- Dance: Move right stick to the left
- Spike: Move right stick to the right
- Swag celebration: Push the right stick in
What are the best celebrations in 'Madden 20'?
When you've selected which celebration style you want, there are a number of different animations available.

How to showboat in 'Madden 20'
If youreally like to taunt your opponents, then you may want to try showboating. This is the act of celebrating before you reach the endzone. Think along the lines of Deion Sanders doing his high step to the end zone while returning an interception or a punt.
Before you do this: make sure there are no defenders around.
If you're playing with Tyreek Hill and you've ran by everyone, then by all means go ahead and prematurely celebrate. But if you have a defender anywhere nearby, your player will most likely get tackled before he crosses the goal line, with a high risk of fumbling the ball.
But if you're open, then here are the controls:
